Following EA's visit, Konami paled a bit in comparison. But here we also went on a company tour and listened to a panel discussion on the company. Konami did provide the best tschotskes on the trip, including calendars, mirrors, and even lip balm. In the evening the group relaxed at the S.F. Brewing Company and socialized with local alumni and prospective students.
The last day, Friday, everyone was a bit tired so we scheduled visits through recent Stern alumni. The first was with Openwave, which writes software for mobile devices. There we heard presentations from the CFO, a representative from project management, and a Stern alumnus who works in Openwave's M&A group. The last session at Oracle, was hosted by the former president of TANG, Mike O'Neill. Here we listened to a presentation and a panel discussion by MBA graduates. Following the discussion, and as a way to unwind, Mike organized cocktails for the group at Oracle (Thanks Mike!). All in all, the trip was a great success. The students learned a great deal and made contacts at all the companies.
