After a productive/restful/super fun/drunken/fill in your adjective winter break, we hope you are excited to return for what promises to be an epic spring semester 2010. As the world enters a new decade, Stern enters a new era with newly minted Dean Peter Blair Henry at its helm. MBA1s are beginning to secure summer internships with much more good news just around the corner. MBA2s are in the home stretch, many with employment secured and dancing shoes on deck.
This issue, The Oppy has partnered with Stern Women in Business in honor of the 18th annual SWIB conference themed "Adaptation: Creating Opportunity in a Changing Environment." We feature profiles of executives involved in the conference, perspectives inspired by the topic, and interviews with women we admire that we hope will in turn inspire you.
You will also find exclusive snapshots from the many corners of the world that were graced with the presence of the Stern community during these past few weeks. From San Francisco to Melbourne these images show that there is certainly nothing regional about the Stern MBA program.
We are also happy to introduce you to quite a few new writers. The Oppy strives to be the voice of the Stern community and we could not do this without your much appreciated enthusiasm. Please continue to be involved by sending in your thoughts, feedback, ideas, and articles. As part of our new year's resolution to continuously delight you, we've included some Sudoku for the puzzle-lovers out there.
