Lizzey Coleman, MBA 2
This is how you achieve the look of “effortless chic.” It’s all in the details. I love how Lizzey layered a long blazer over a short dress with a hint of sequin for a dash of flash and a fabulous belt to tie everything together. Wearing opaque tights is a great way to make your short dresses work during colder months.
Carolyn Demisch, MBA 2
Carolyn wins with accessories. I’ve always been a fan of wearing black and brown together and this is how you pull it off. Keep the color palette simple: wear black and mix in brown accessories. Carolyn shared her favorite designers and current obsession.“I love Botkier's bags and shoes right now, and for clothes, brands like Tracy Reese, Ya-Ya, Teenflo, Rebecca Taylor. My current obsession is dresses. Work dresses, shift dresses, party dresses, jersey wrap dresses - I barely wear jeans anymore because dresses seem so much easier and more comfortable!” Dress is by Anthropologie.
Paulo Sousa, MBA 1
With a face like Paulo’s, you really can’t go wrong, but he manages to take a step further by wearing this simple yet polished look. The key to effortless menswear is quality. With the right cut and material, even a simple hooded black sweater and denim trousers look refined. The verdict is in; Paulo has got some serious swagger!
Ashley Mohr, MBA1
It’s easy to wear all black, but Ashley really takes it a step further by creating a look that is casual, yet put together and sophisticated all at the same time. She is confidently rocking the very now menswear-inspired oxford shoe, which looks great paired with tights or a skinny jean. Ashley shared her favorite designer and current obsession.“My favorite designer is Maggie Gavignion. She designs for different labels and inspired me to wear a backpack. School's been way more enjoyable since. My current obsession is high-tops. In particular, my Nike high-tops.” Shoes (left) are by Rachel Comey.
